International Philosophy Match by Monty Python – Series of small good posts #4
This Monty Python clip pits the German philosophers versus the Greek philosophers in a football (read: soccer in the US) match.
With their usual tongue-in-cheek flair, the boys of the python troupe on of their most hilarious skits ever.
Enjoy!
Mechanical Spider Vehicle – Steam Punk Hoopdie – 2 Minute Version – Series of small good posts #3
Found it ;)
This is the 2 minute version of the Mechanical Spider Vehicle. This steam-punk dream car is a marvel and appears very real in this video.
Call it Doc Oc or the new old Wild Wild West. Call it the beginning of the end or the most expensive car toy ever. In any case, enjoy the show.
Spider Car Steampunk Hoopdie – Series of small good posts #2
Enjoy! There’s a longer video of the mechanical spider car that shows up when you search in Youtube, but it never loads for me. If I get it to load later, I will link to that one too.
Hidden Camera Prank – From Japan – Series of small good posts #1
I would understand if you found this less than funny the first time you watched it, but try to view it a second time. After you get the concept it’s actually hilarious.
The highlight, for me, is the first prank in the video. The protagonist of that section is truly the star of the whole clip.

Elizabeth Cotton – the oldest jazz singer ever? Video
I had to give this wizened woman her due with a link to this video of her singing and playing guitar on stage. As her voice croons out the raspy lyrics of the old tune “Freight Train” her yet nimble fingers pluck out the tinny melody on an acoustic guitar which sits on her lap like a slightly too old but loved grandchild.
Amazing to see, a gift to the sentimental and jazz lovers alike.
And if that isn’t doing it for you, enjoy the razor wit of a commenter who asked the apt if not sarcastic question: ” Was this by any chance the first blues song ever written?”.
Time for another funny video: Darth Vader as Mufasa from Lion King
This video parody pretty much speaks for itself, and ties in nicely with the Youtube and Star Wars themes which have developed on this blog.
By the way, if you still haven’t seen the funniest Star Wars parody video ever made – check check out the Star Wars special from the guys of Robot Chicken (Seth Green and Matt Senreich)
Enjoy : )
Mr T – Two For One – Treat Your Mother Right and Prank
First one is a very scary video intended to teach youngsters how to treat their mothers. Thank you Mr. T. I think he has a cheat sheet for the 4 lines he says during the song. And I use the word “song” loosely.
Depending on the type of person you are, you will find prank calls made by geeks who know how to use a soundboard either very boring or hilarious. I fall into the latter category. This one uses Mr. T sound clips to talk to a increasingly frustrated tow truck company dispatch woman.
Japanese Game Show – Be Quiet! (youtube)
I enjoy this clip from a Japanese Game Show. It’s funnier as the Human Tetris Clip I found, but I think that a different type of person will like this one.
The goal of the show is to not make noise while performing extremely painful or disgusting “dares”. It takes place in what appears to be a library. Try to make it past the first 20 seconds and I think you will want to finish it. I ended up laughing as hard as the guys in the video.
Star Wars Darth Vador Parody – Japanese
[video source updated 13 June 08]
This may be the funniest Star Wars parody I have ever seen. Despite the horribly inaccurate depiction of the characters, and the fact that the only line spoken is in Japanese, this 36 second clip makes me belly laugh every time I watch it.
